4EYESBOOKS

Creating Children and Young Adult Stories, Armed with Imagination and a Pen

Sometimes my timing is just off….

I found out today that on March 3rd there is going to be a local author expo in Marietta, GA.  Unfortunately my second book will not be ready to print and get copies by then and I don’t think I would have enough time to get copies of my first book shipped in time either.  This is an annual event so I guess I missed the boat this time.  I’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on the book and sadly, last weekend my old boss passed away.  I worked with him for almost 15 years and he fought a very brave battle against cancer, but I believe he is in a much better place now.

I plan on completing my dedication page and getting a new author photo done this weekend for the second book.  Once that is done I just need to do a final edit and then I can send the book in for publishing.  Then I have to order a proof copy to make sure everything looks like I intended and then I’ll be ready to launch.

Sometimes timing isn’t there, but maybe there is a reason for that.  Maybe next year I will have 4 or 5 books to showcase at the local author expo 🙂

Lil Glimmer makes it to Top 20 in Amazon’s Children’s Poetry!

Yes, it was an exciting day today as my first children’s book was at one time listed #10 on Amazon‘s Children’s Poetry list.  My book gained some momentum being on the “free” book list for kindle and then just as it was taken off the free list it was featured on the “Smart Mom Picks” blog.

Lil Glimmer is aimed at toddlers and preschool aged children.  It is a story about a star who learns patience and sharing and in the end realizes that it is important to take your turn and share.

My second book is in the illustration phase and will be completed in the next couple of months.  Can’t wait to share it with lots of new young readers!
