JaMonkey Liked the Nutts

Here’s another review from blogger, Meghan, who enjoyed reading The Nutt Family:  An Acorny Adventure to her little JaMonkey daughter.  You can check out her review here.  Meghan also had a premature daughter born with SVT at 32 weeks.  Thankfully she has recently been able to being her littlest JaMonkey home.  We continue to keep her family in our prayers.

I know all too well what it is like to have a premature baby since my son was born at 4lbs 13oz at 32 weeks and 5 days.  He had to remain at the hospital for 3 weeks before he could come home.  It is heartbreaking to leave the hospital and see all the other mother’s getting discharged with their babies and not being able to take your little one home.  It was a struggling time, but I also met mothers of other preemies who were much smaller and had many more challenges that I was facing so that put things into perspective for me.  I don’t know what it must be like to have a baby with SVT, but I hope Meghan and her family are surrounded with love and support.

In the United States 1 in 8 babies is born premature.  The March of Dimes is working to address this issue at home and abroad.  To learn more visit the March of Dimes here.

Book Features

It’s an exciting day as we have Lil Glimmer featured on Bargain Books blog today here.   Lil Glimmer is the story of a star who learns patience and sharing.  He gets frustrated when he doesn’t get his way, but in the end he listens to his mother and realizes that waiting and taking his turn is the right thing to do.  These lessons can be hard to accept as a toddler, but this story helped me illustrate these principles of patience and sharing to my own children.

We also have The Nutt Family:  An Acorny Adventure being spotlighted on Will’s Library here. Chess Nutt and his sister, Praline, are always pretending to have crazy adventures.  What happens when these two acorn siblings have an unexpected real adventure on their own?  Things get a little bit nutty of course!

Both of these stories are available at Amazon in either paperback or kindle versions.  Click each cover to read reviews and learn more!
