Creating Children and Young Adult Stories, Armed with Imagination and a Pen

Sometimes my timing is just off….

I found out today that on March 3rd there is going to be a local author expo in Marietta, GA.  Unfortunately my second book will not be ready to print and get copies by then and I don’t think I would have enough time to get copies of my first book shipped in time either.  This is an annual event so I guess I missed the boat this time.  I’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on the book and sadly, last weekend my old boss passed away.  I worked with him for almost 15 years and he fought a very brave battle against cancer, but I believe he is in a much better place now.

I plan on completing my dedication page and getting a new author photo done this weekend for the second book.  Once that is done I just need to do a final edit and then I can send the book in for publishing.  Then I have to order a proof copy to make sure everything looks like I intended and then I’ll be ready to launch.

Sometimes timing isn’t there, but maybe there is a reason for that.  Maybe next year I will have 4 or 5 books to showcase at the local author expo 🙂

I have a few big blogs that are looking at helping me with my second children’s book set to be released over the next month or so.  One of them has already agreed to help with the launch and I’m still waiting to hear back from the other one.  I am hoping for a big fat YES from them too.  My cover on the second book has been completed….yippee!  I will be working on putting the rest of the book together this weekend.
