Monsters Have Mommies

We are participating in a booknificient Thursday party today with Mommynificient. This party is designed to share thoughts about books, reading and literacy. I have always loved reading to my children when they were little and now they are reading their own books. My daughter is six and a half and loves the Magic Tree House series. My son is about to turn ten and he loves lots of graphic novels, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Pokemon books. Of course, sometimes they still pull out some of the picture books I’ve written and read them too (even though they’ve gotten too old for them).
It’s never too early to encourage reading in your little ones. It’s a great way to spend quality time with your children.
