Creating Children and Young Adult Stories, Armed with Imagination and a Pen

My Brief Brush with the Press

My first brush with the press was not how I imagined.  It was not an indepth one-on-one interview where I got to explore the inspirations for my children’s books.  I was not mentioned in a glamorous magazine or a prestigious newspaper, but I did get a brief mention today on a local website and I take what I can get!

Check out my shining moment in Acworth Patch.

I am excited and nervous about my first author expo this Saturday.  My paperbacks arrived yesterday and my custom bookmarks to hand out to the children are scheduled to arrive on Friday.  Now, I just hope that some actual people show up.  I’ll report back with the results.

I think I’m going to go throw up now.

Local Author Expo March 3rd

The central library in Marietta, Georgia is holding their annual local author expo this Saturday and guess who will be there?  Me!  This is a chance to meet local authors and support a great cause.  Each local author who has a table will be selling some of their books and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Cobb County Library System.  The expo will be held this Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at 266 Roswell Street.

Check out the press release.
